My Background
I currently work in a forensic social work setting as a criminal defense social work supervisor. I’ve spent the last five years utilizing my skills to serve vulnerable populations involved in the criminal legal system. Almost two of those years have been spent managing a team and , developing policies and best practices that support my team. I also have experience working with people who are elderly, and as a hospital social worker.
I’m the owner of my private practice, Micheaux Counseling & Consulting PLLC where I offer therapeutic services and consultations. I work with individuals who have complex histories, anxiety and depression. I also work with individuals who are high functioning but emotionally impaired, or those who have challenges adjusting to recent life events.
I most identify with an eclectic style of therapy. I believe people are layered and there is not a one size fits all approach to those who are on a mental or behavioral health journey. Everyone is unique, with unique needs and I adjust the treatment method based on those needs.
What I Offer
Support growing your skills, professional identity and increasing your confidence. I focus on ethical decision making, clinical judgement, application and exam preparation. I also specialize in offering insight into expanding your skills beyond one-on-one client facing work.
Expectations
If you work full-time, supervision will be 4-hours/month (2-hour group sessions a month, 1 -hour individuals sessions a week)
Part-time 2-hour sessions a month.
Group supervision rates $55 per hour which is $220 a month
Individual supervision rates $70 per hour which is $280 a month
Supervision is held virtually. We can discuss options for in-person supervision if located in Houston or the surrounding areas.

Per Behavioral Health Executive Council - you must complete 3000 clinical work hours and 100 supervision hours in no less than 24 months and no more than 48 months.
Hours worked prior to supervision do not count.
